Fish Neck is part having region with a reduced diameter at or near the upper end of a drill string member which fishing tools can grab. The surface on which a fishing tool engages when retrieving tubing, tools or equipment stuck or lost in a wellbore. Tools and equipment that are temporarily installed in a wellbore are generally equipped with a specific fishing-neck profile to enable the running and retrieval tools to reliably engage and release.
Known as the “workhorse” of the titanium alloys, Ti 6Al-4V, or Grade 5 titanium, is the most commonly used of all titanium alloys. It accounts for 50 percent of total titanium usage the world over.
